Tier 2

Reteach and Enrich

Prevention or intervention (P/I) based on the first instruction of the priority standards. The development of prevention/intervention strategies, delivery and needs is determined by the collaborative teams' data analysis of common formative assessments and is performed by the teachers within the collaborative team. P/I includes reteaching, more time for reaching proficiency, or enrichment of the concepts learned. P/I is fluid and active within the classroom. Outcomes of P/I are tracked by the collaborative team. Examples include small group reteaching, providing alternative teaching strategies, switching kids during intervention blocks. Within any unit of study, the MRPS goal is to have no more than 10-15% of students falling into this category.
