Vermont State Youth Council Public Hearing
Vermont State Youth Council, Public Hearing
The Vermont State Youth Council is holding a public hearing February 5 (4:30–6:00 PM) to hear directly from Vermont youth on issues that matter most to them. The Council will use this forum to help guide their recommendations for the Governor and Legislature. Register HERE!
The Vermont State Youth Council is holding its first public hearing of 2026 to hear the concerns, questions, and ideas of Vermont youth. The State Youth Council is beginning to craft recommendations for the Governor and General Assembly that will be shared during the next biennium starting in 2027. In order to create recommendations that reflect the concerns, aspirations, and experiences of young Vermonters, the State Youth Council needs youth to share their thoughts and perspectives with them. If you are a Vermont youth, the Council encourages you to register and participate in the virtual Public Hearing on February 5th from 4:30-6:00pm. Registrants will receive a zoom link via email a few days before the hearing. For more information or if you have any questions, please contact Brianne Smith at brianne@vermontafterschool.org.
