Christine Hertz Hausman - UES Literacy

Christine Hertz Hausman is an experienced educator with a deep commitment to student-centered, purpose-driven learning. A former classroom teacher with experience across diverse school settings, Christine is the coauthor, with Kristi Mraz, of Kids First from Day One and A Mindset for Learning, professional books that provide practical, research-based guidance for creating child-centered classrooms and fostering joyful academic growth.  She holds an undergraduate degree in early childhood education and a master’s degree in literacy. Christine is passionate about ensuring every child receives the instruction and support they need to thrive as readers, writers, and learners. She lives in East Montpelier with her husband, Nate, and two young children.
